Shift Leader (SL)

We are looking to hire an experienced Shift Leader (SL) who will be responsible for the profitability of the restaurant operation by receiving, handling, and helping to manage the inventory of products in a timely and organized manner. As a BOH specialist, the SL is responsible for the flow of products from the point of delivery to the kitchen. When working in that capacity the SL may be responsible for receiving, unpacking, processing, organizing, and storing merchandise according to Elevation Burger Standards. The SL’s biggest responsibilities are to ensure that products are easily accessible, visible, and constantly available. The SL’s work will enhance the brand image of both the products and the restaurant, and positively impact the guest experience. BOH specialists must be certified at all stations in the restaurant and ensure proper operational procedures are being followed by crewmembers when necessary.

The Responsibilities:

  • Ability to run a shift during non-peak times
  • Sweeping and mopping BOH floors
  • Keeping the BOH floors free of debris and product for safe movement through the BOH
  • BOH floors swept and clean
  • Stocking of products (According to FIFO)
  • Check off all deliveries when they arrive in an efficient and timely manner
  • Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy, verifying that quantities received match the orders forms, and invoices
  • Properly puts away deliveries
  • Ensuring the deliveries correspond with the paperwork
  • Passing all paperwork with any shortages, overages or damaged items clearly highlighted, to the appropriate person(s)
  • Unpack all deliveries putting stock into the correct locations ensuring all stock is safely stored and easily accessible
  • Maintain an accurate knowledge of product inventory and locations.
  • Ensure product is rotated on a regular basis
  • ensuring all product remain unexpired
  • When applicable, inform management of any items which are not available
  • Communicate with the store managers regarding deliveries
  • Maintain ongoing and proactive communication with management regarding order overages and shortages, and delivery delays
  • Assists in monthly inventory

The Qualifications

  • At least 2 – 5 years of experience in stores
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent English skills in both speech and writing
  • Experience in the Food & Beverage or Retail industry
  • Attention to details
  • Related business degree or equivalent professional qualification
